Module VIII: Let’s Talk About Errors

This module introduces school nurses and trained school personnel to the importance of recognizing and responding to common errors that can occur during medication administration in school settings. You’ll learn how to identify and address issues such as medication errors, documentation mistakes, and needle stick injuries.

You’ll also explore practical steps for correcting records, reporting incidents, and responding to exposure risks — all with a focus on maintaining safety, accountability, and compliance with DC Health protocols.
